Discouraged

I'll never be encouraged to do something I love when people can't even begin to appreciate what I'm doing.

It is why, sometimes, you'll just have to rely on yourself. Seek encouragement from inspiration, and no longer care what other people think. It's essentially difficult, but it's what you'll have to resort to if you still want to do it.

Just Trying To Brush It Off

Seriously, it's so darned annoying to be constantly reminded of the person you're simply trying to forget.

Whether it's the comments, notifications or fb chat, it's definitely wracking my nerves from time to time. I can't completely forget someone, but I can try to let them fade from my attention for a good long time until I can just shrug and brush off the entire situation that happened.

It doesn't do good, in my opinion, to hold on to things that are clearly meant to go. You are allowed to hope, yes. But not for long. You'll probably only hope yourself to exhaustion. You'll know then who'd stay in your life. At some point you just gave to forget, move on with your life.

"For the things that are meant for you, will always find its way back to you."

Things That Really Hurt

The greatest pains we experience in this life revolves around our relationships with people and God.

I say this because it is them who can ultimately touch the deepest parts of our soul. Whether or not you deny it, people determine what we feel, say or do. Few people care about what others think, most people seek the approval of other people.

We all have important people in our lives. Those we care about. Those we love. At times, you don't have to know a person long to give them a space in your heart. Whoever these people are in our lives, they are people whom you give a part of yourself to. And because they do, they have the power to hurt you.

Broken family relationships are one of the hardest things to mend. It takes years, often many long years, to seek forgiveness and to forgive. Best friends fight. And if they do, it's war. As they say, 'the biggest fights happen between the closest of people'. And that is really true. Whenever we fight with the people we care about, no matter which side, both are still deeply affected.

Even in love, there are situations that it doesn't take you long to care for someone, to give them a part of you. When you learn to like someone, you have already given a part of yourself to them. Even if you don't know it. And the moment that person hurts you, then you will feel that pain in your heart. You do not have to love a person for you to care about them.

You hurt because you cared. You hurt because that person became a part of your life that made you happy, made you smile like an idiot.

You will know that a person has become a part of your life, whether you've known him long or not, when he hurts you. And when he does, you will  feel the pain down to the depths of your heart.

The pain can cut you like a knife. It can make you go down on your knees and cry. It can make you want to go back and change what happened.

And throughout all this experience, you will also have to learn to see who is worthy of staying in your life. All people: family, friends, husbands, boyfriends, acquaintances, they will hurt you at some point in your life, Whether it was an accident or on purpose. Even those that things that they have unknowingly done that have hurt you. But all of that is part of our human nature that is not perfect.

Again, learn to see the people whom you should keep. Someone who is worth the pain. There is no point in keeping people who do not care about you. Good relationships give and take. It is not one-sided.

It makes perfect sense to just let go if one person simply does not see you as someone important. Don't force yourself to stay in their lives. Pretty soon, they'll see you as a disturbance.

It hurts to let go. But you know you have to. But make sure you leave them a with good deed. Don't leave them with a bad memory of you. Trust me, they will respect that in the future.

The ones worth keeping are the ones who will be there for you when the storms come. They are those who would do so much for you. They are the ones whom you can count on always.

Keep them. And treasure them always.

Just Romantic Me

I am definitely a romantic.

Well, I guess most people are. But then again, I have a different version of love. Something not so mushy, not so PDA, but something fun and just something between the two of you.

Until such a time that I am ready to fall in love again, and most importantly, ready to handle a relationship, I shall keep growing, and strive to be the best of myself.

And of course, I'll keep on praying. :)

A Best Friends' Promise

My dream has always been to become a writer/author.
I would love to finish a novel and have it published one day.

My best friend's dream is to become a director, so she wants to do everything she can to get in a good film school, particularly in New York Film Academy.

Big dreams. Yes.

So we both made a promise. This is what she said:

"promise me, promise me, you'll finish your novel and get it published and become a new york times bestseller K?same way i'll promise you, ill do whatever it takes to get into that school, start small maybe here first, then work my way up to Hollywood and get my first award (..and God Goood willing in the long run, my first Academy Award) "

I shall treasure this promise and make my dreams come true, just as she does with hers.
I'll do what it takes. So I can look back at this promise and know that I have fulfilled it.

God Bless us in the future. :)

Artistic Instinctive Creations

I love making stuff.
That is, I like making cards, invitations, and just practically anything that involves arts. Especially one that makes use of ribbons, strings, pens, beads and any type of paper.

Tonight's accomplishments use all those. I looked through samples of wedding invitations through the web. And eventually I came up with this as a result of the inspiration.

I handcrafted the envelope and the ribbon brooch-like thing. :D

Why I Realized I Prefer JPop Over KPop

Yuki Kajiura of FictionJunction YUUKA
(Akatsuki no Kuruma -Studio Live)
Okay so, I was flitting through my facebook, looking at my friends' posts. One friend posted about a video of Nami Tamaki's 'Reason'(Opening Song in Gundam Seed Destiny). I opened the link and found myself reminiscing my high school days of being addicted to anime and Jpop.

I then started to watch more Nami Tamaki's videos since I really like her voice and her songs so much. And looking through people's comments on each video, it dawned on me why I have so many Jap songs I downloaded.

Here's a quote from ZerigaXa in 'Akatsuki no Kuruma' video in youtube. It hits the spot, explaining why I keep listening to Japanese even though I am not familiar with the language:

"No, it has something with not understanding the words, yet, understanding the emotion. That's the beauty of listening to a song you can't understand. And the Japanese happen to be people who have some of the best expression in words."
Takanori Nishikawa(TM Revolution)
(Vestige - Live)

Here's another from Ratpack30:
"So true, so true......most Japanese music fills me with this energy i can't get from "normal" music. It goes straight to the heart.
Might sound silly, but, even if the mind does not understand the words the heart understand the meaning of the words. "

Those two quotes about sums up why I like Japanese music so much. Personally, there are so many songs that touch a cord in my heart, and just the melody is enough to make me cry. Even though I don't understand the language. But I don't need to understand the lyrics, the song already makes me understand.

Maki Onaga of HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR
(Pride - Live)

A lot of Japanese songs also make me energized, I can almost practically hear the energy itself. These types of songs are not just lively, but they just really give you that electrified feeling when you hear it. The blend of all the instruments makes it simply awesome, whether it's a lively song or a mellow one.

This is the magic of Jpop songs.

I can hear so much of the emotions from the song. I can immediately associate it with a feeling or a particular scenario. Hearing them live is simply beautiful. It gives me goosebumps, just listening to it.

I love Kpop songs too. They're catchy, they're beaty, but in my opinion, they lack the depth. I have friends who love Kpop and I join them in their fandom. But I realized that their themes in their songs are pretty much the same. Sexy, sultry, cute, boyish cuteness, dance, rap. They all revolve mostly around those themes.

Of course, it's not that I'm completely negative over Kpop. I just said I like Kpop too. It's just that I prefer JPop. There are a lot of Korean songs that strike a cord in my heart, but I mostly hear them on Korean drama. Korean songs are still amazing.

But I prefer JPop. ^_^

Some of my JPop favorites are:
